Courting couple
It was blustery this morning but it was bright and mild. I took a longer lens on my walk with Xena this morning as I hoped to see the swans who have recently moved on to the lake in our woods. I was in luck, not only were the swans near the water's edge, but they were mating. If you have ever seen water birds mate it looks very aggressive, as the male almost drowns the female. However she seemed very happy and pleased with her mate.
I popped in to the supermarket to get a couple of things to take with us to Switzerland. We are driving on Saturday, so tomorrow will be busy as I need to pack and make meals for the journey - breakfast, lunch and supper, as when we arrive it will be supper time and there will be no food in the apartment.
It's raining again now - the roofer has not returned from a few weeks ago, as he is waiting for dry weather - it could be a long wait.
