Village social

W had a social at our Sacramento restaurant last night where we met up with friends, and met some of the many new people living in Schoenies.
Hubby was asked to speak about his two recent books, the latest being his book written in Afrikaans.
He spoke well as usual, and  a number of books were sold, all of the money which he'll donate to our Church Educational fund for underprivileged children.
We drank a toast to the memory of our two wonderful residents who were tragically murdered here five years ago - they started the social club where we all met monthly at various houses and the ladies committee (of which I was a member) cooked the meal, usually for about sixty people.
We enjoyed a good meal at the restaurant and once again we all agreed that we live in a special place.
