Still Life

A not very busy college teaching day gave me some free time in the lab to dabble.
This is part of the still producing distilled water for student practical work. A 3KW heating element fiercely boils the tap water, while a glass coil above has cold water running through the inside providing a cold surface on which the pure steam condenses.
It was toss-up between a bright microscope/DNA/bottles arrangement http://www.flickr.com/photos/albatext/8775269368/
