Coot Babies

A walk around the university tonight while Daughter was at acting class resulted in a difficult blip choice.

I was expecting to blip the swan with her nine cygnets. (Don't envy her the teenage years!) Or perhaps the duck with her five little ducklings.

However, when I got home and looked at the photos on the computer this was my favourite. There was one egg still in the nest and she was determined to sit on it. This meant that her little ones were trampled on so that she could get into position. I feared for their well being but they seemed to survive her rough handling.

Unfortunately the egg seems to be cracked so I don't expect there to be another baby for her to look after.
