From the past to the future

Fred and I walked to the Brixton Ritzy across Brockwell Park. These enthusiastic dancers were stylishly stepping across Windrush Square as part of a Great Gatsby themed evening. The staff in the cinema were in 20s garb - all braces, rimmed hats for the boys and flapper dresses adpearls and rimmed hats. We were completely off kilter since we had not booked Gatsy, but were there for Star Trek Into Darkness. So buoyed were we by amazing futuristic scenes that we stepped out of Screen 1 and headed to Screen 3 to watch Iron Man 3. The films are very different from each other and "Star Trek" was the better movie, but "Iron Man 3" is so, so funny.
