In between the solid, deluging rain, the sunshine is delightful. Accompanied of course by forty mile an hour wind gusts - well, it is March you know... So forgive me if the edges are a little blurred. I timed my shot with the peak end swing of the magnolia flower as it fought not to take to the skies...

A while ago I may have mentioned the head of highways maintenance in the county noted he had only been given 25% of the budget required for his department to carry out the basic works, and that fixing potholes in the rural network was... unlikely to happen. 

Coincidentally we've just dropped the Audi off for new tyres. Not that the tread was worn out, you understand. Low profiles and potholes do not happily coexist.
