At home: white dead nettle flowers
Having spent the afternoon strimming nettles and spraying myself with stinging nettle pieces. This is a homage to the White Dead Nettle (Lamium album) which, although unrelated to the Stinging Nettle, looks almost identical, save the flowers, tastes rather similar it is edible and does not sting.
An excellent way of amazing your friends is to (secretly) remove the white flowers from this plant, then eat what remains in front of them, explaining that you learned how to do it during your seven years in Tibet. There is also the Small Nettle (Urtica urens) which looks just like a nettle only smaller, don't you know. It tastes the same but is rather a neat little plant and too pretty to pick. It also fights back with particularly vicious stings.
