'Glorious'

I have bought some signed Railway prints from the very talented Rochdale based artist Tom Holland. This one is very nostalgic for me. It depicts 45719 'Glorious' approaching Todmorden station. 
The Leeds - Manchester line ran alongside Castle Hill, the junior school I attended in the late '40s and early '50s.  When lessons paused for lunch, we ran to the wall to watch the '12 'o' clock 'namers' rushing by. 'Glorious' was a regular along with her contemporaries 'Mars' and 'Dauntless'. Tom has caught the moment just as I remember - perfect.
