Favourite Things

When Maria sang about her favourite things in the Sound of Music, she didn’t mention daffodils or the seaside, but these two things would definitely be on my list!

Love daffodils and I love the sea, especially when it’s the sea at Southwold.
I don’t often see daffodils here but we did today.

It’s hubby’s birthday so we came here for the day having stayed nearby after the bake school yesterday.
Did our favourite walk to Walberswick and stopped off for coffee at the Black Dog Deli and ate one of the pastries we made yesterday. Walked back by the harbour, through the dunes and along the prom to the pier.

Lunch at Adnams, a mooch around the shops, a drink and kindles at The Lord Nelson before heading off to Beccles then to our b&b at Henham Park, home of the Latitude festival.

A lovely birthday day for hubby.
