Open mike

A second open mike at the Chequers in Doddington. A surfeit of blues songs and some very good rock and roll tunes too.

The Marmites were the house band getting to play 8 songs, one of which was a solo by yours truly.

There was an interesting debut by a young singer from Gravesend who performed her own compositions. She was promoted by her enthusiastic mother who was making sure we knew about her daughter’s talent.

An enjoyable if long evening
