CLEARING OUT STUFF

Hello Lovely Blippers,

You all know how Mrs. HCB finds us jobs to do, well today, Mr. HCB said he had a little job for us.  Little job?!  Well, you could have fooled us - because when we looked into “his” room, we were amazed at all the stuff in there.  You can tell it’s his room too because of the cricket picture on the wall and the many, many jigsaw puzzles all around.

As well as jigsaws, there were books, stamps, CDs, games and all manner of paraphernalia including lots and lots of cables for computers, which the HCBs no longer have, all of which we would call “stuff” or even “junk”, but when we mentioned this to Mr. HCB, he seemed quite offended.  He said that his Wentworth Wooden Jigsaw Puzzles were very precious and he enjoys doing them - shhhh don’t tell him, but Mrs. HCB is getting him another one for his birthday in April!  He also told us  that he hasn’t even opened the Floating Shuttle model, which his grandson and his girlfriend gave him for Christmas - and we know why - he has been too busy doing jigsaw puzzles, which is quite silly really - because surely people open boxes to find out exactly what’s inside.  Well, we would!

Anyway, we decided that we would rather read some of “The Famous Five” books and listen to the CDs, so we told Mr. HCB that we weren’t happy to do all the clearing up, but said that perhaps one rainy day we would help him out - but then we thought that perhaps we were being very unhelpful and Admirer would be upset about that, so we said we would help him.  

Of course, we have a new helper and we wonder if you can spot him?  He is sitting just in front of Leighton and was sent to Mrs. HCB by a very special friend - yes, it’s Winnie the Pooh - and of course, we do have Reeth, who is a piglet, Sid, who is very much like Eeyore and Rabbit, so we hope he will soon feel very much at home with us.  We have told him that we always have lots of fun with the HCBs and especially on Silly Saturday, which is, of course, why we are called the Silly Saturday Gang, so we hope he will want to be in our gang.  He told us that he feels at home already and said he had spotted a jar of honey on the shelf in the kitchen, so he was happy.

We are really excited because we think that Hoggy will soon be coming out of hibernation - he has been gone such a long time, but we hope he has had a good sleep and will be ready and up for all the adventures that we hope to have in the Spring and Summer.

We hope you all have a good weekend - we are looking forward to exploring the garden again and showing Winnie the Pooh all our favourite places.  You probably know that Mrs. HCB has been quite poorly with a virus but she seems to be getting better, so that’s good news and once she’s better, we’re sure she will be looking for jobs for us to do!
