Crashing Down

I've been riding on a nice high for the past few days. 10:00 3200, 4:44 mile, 100 on All-State, great time at Junior Prom...

...and it all came crashing down today.

I woke up not feeling too hot. My throat was sore and I was exhausted.

I wish I could stop making excuses.

School was silly as usual. Paige and I lost to Brian and Anthony in KanJam today.

We had a quick Tri-M induction ceremony rehearsal after the faculty had a quick meeting about something.

3:00 bus to Counties.

Timmy and I ran the 3200. I had a lot of pressure on me to prove that I deserved the fourth seed and that my 10:00 wasn't just a fluke.

Unfortunately, I failed miserably. I ended up running 10:30, and coming in eighth or ninth or something. I'm pissed. I let all the hours of waiting get to me (we ran around 8:00).

Timmy ran really well (10:06) and got All-County! Go Timmy!

Timmy also thinks I could still make it to state quals next week because of my 10:00 last week. Who knows. At least I might have another chance to redeem myself.
