Ready to Go

We went out this morning for a viewing day for a forthcoming auction. Just for our entertainment really rather than with any intent. There were some interesting lots but nothing any of us wanted.

Alresford station on the Watercress Line is very close to George and Ann's house. It's a preserved heritage line that runs from New Alresford to Alton. Just 100 yards away from the house is a bridge that looks down on the station or a short walk down a footpath gets you to the station. I knew there was a train leaving at 3pm so I checked out both angles but when I was in the station with the train in I decided I'd get a better shot from the bridge so walked back there and still had plenty of time before the train left.
