Look up

Back on my travels again and in Birmingham this week so I had a chance to have a wander around some of the canals. One of the lessons I teach in my photography workshops is to be aware of what's around you, not just at your normal eye level but also up in the air, down on the floor and behind you as there is often a photograph to be had that you wouldn't usually see. Thankfully I do practice what I preach and saw this canvas roof at the top of some modern flats - the bright whites of the wall and the blue sky really stood out, lit by the evening sun.
