Paper Birds

We visited the Paper Birds exhibition at Leigh Spinners Mill this afternoon. Some of my husband’s haiku’s had been accepted as part of the exhibition, and we were told these would be hanging from the birds. However, the decision had been made to split the haiku’s into individual lines and hang single lines from the birds, which seemed to defeat the point of requesting haiku’s. It would be fair to say my husband was not entirely happy about his work being cut up and the other poets we spoke to felt the same. The display of paper birds was beautiful and well worth seeing.
