The smoke alarm downstairs was making a beebing noise, which means the battery was running out.

Neo didn't like the noise at all. In fact he wouldn't even come downstairs for breakfast (that must be a first!) until we fixed it. Which took awhile as I had to go out and buy a battery.

That's why he's looking grumpy, because he's hungry.
