Bread talk
S arrived in the morning. And despite the tiring overnight bus journey, was all set to go out. The simple south-indian breakfast at the airy restaurant with an umbrella of beautiful trees overhead, in a small pocket of the moving city was absolutely lovely. Was glad to be reminded that to have a good time eating out, one need not always spend a lot of money.
Then we left for Forum, where we had to get a few things. Here, this person obliged us by letting me shoot as he made the bread. 'Bread talk' is a neat idea indeed. This was followed by a crowded bookstore and a crowded food court. What was interesting is that I am able to recognize Steve McCurry's photos, even if I might not have seen some of them! Makes me smile inside.
The walk that followed was long and and hardly pleasant!
The evening was spend at Lalbagh (hope this is the right name), an old botanical garden in an older part of the city. There were lakes, some sparse sunlight, birds, ducks, a host of plants, an exbibition of (ugly looking) jackfruit and mangoes(one of the species was called omlet!), some photographing, some camera-shy people, strange-smelling melon like fruits, a rose garden, corn.... all of which darkened after a strange sunset. We headed back.
