Thirsk
We visited Thirsk at lunchtime today on the way to Crathorne Hall, where T is attending a training event tomorrow. Earlier we had a walk around Thornborough Henges, a 4500 year old group of neolithic circles used, it is thought, for ceremonies. No standing stones. If you want a henge with standing stones you need to visit Stonehenge, which is nowhere near North Yorkshire.
All Saints Church in Crathorne village has a fantastic display of daffodils at present. A venerable local resident told me she had never seen them better than this year's display.
