This is Mrs. Mr. had just flown off about some important business of his own. First time we ever saw them in our garden. Perhaps it was the day long snow that drove them in looking for anything worth eating. They had plenty of seeds available to feast on.

Ps. Thanks to Freespiral who corrected my having mistaken this for a Greenfinch. I guess the black cap, also present on the male gives the game away.
