A Change of plans …

A phone call from Richard’s Kidney consultant at lunchtime led to an unscheduled trip to York hospital. A recent blood test revealed he was on the cusp of needing dialysis. Fortunately after a battery of scans and blood tests they were happy to let him return home. However further appointments and discussion as to treatment options going forward are required.

Having dropped Richard off I occupied myself with a walk round York (my home city). The Daffodils on the bar walls were looking good, the Minster was very busy, Micklegate Bar was at its best in the sunshine. Finally a view of where Richard used to work as Head of Legal Services for York in the Guildhall on the banks of the Ouse made a good set of photos. 

Hopefully a quieter day lies ahead tomorrow!
