Expensive

At a private hospital today, to see a neurologist.

I really struggle with the concept of private healthcare. I'm a complete hypocrite by being here because it's against almost everything I believe in. However, my legs/back are still not working properly, and that's exactly the kind of scenario I considered when I signed up for it years and years ago. I would like to believe that by going private I've freed up a place for somebody else in the NHS, but the reality is probably much more complicated.

Anyway, while I was waiting I opened up a leaflet and in there were guideline prices for a number of procedures. Makes you realise why the NHS is such a significant portion of the public expenditure.
