My trial beds
Having seen the supreme variety of trials beds at Wisley yesterday I thought I'd show the other end of the spectrum with my own trial beds at home. And a real trial they are too, I've been tested by the weather, the slugs, the cabbage white butterflies, the squirrels and the grandchildren. The other day I caught them digging so asked, rather sarcastically, what they were digging for. One replied that he was digging to get to the centre of the earth (didn't we all do that!) and the other told me he was digging for coal! I should have known better!
The blue hoops support the netting which means I have some control over some of the pests
