Magnolia and Fly

Lovely sunshine today, the warm before the storm.

Ten days of rain expected, oh what joy.

Highlights - Photographing the wildlife around the magnolia tree. (Main and extra) - out of focus but marginally sharper if viewed large.

Lowlights - today the scaffolders came to shroud our bungalow in scaffolding. Next week the roof comes off.

Our resident Robin is dead. Near to tears we observed it being taken by a Sparrowhawk. It was a brief struggle. Over in the blink of an eye. 

Pretty fed up overall.

But, ever the pragmatist, my wife said if we hadn't seen it, it would have happened anyway. 

Nature can be a bastard sometimes.
