Tree with a mohawk

This is the view out our window towards the lake.  This is one of many old oak trees that have broken since we moved in 40 years ago.  This one fell about 9 years ago in a summer storm.  Thankfully, no one was hurt, and we've had many of the remaining trees trimmed to prevent further breakage.

Wow.  I've just had a look through my journal and I found that this tree actually fell in 2012!!  That just shows what an amazing resource blip can be!!
