From my window

It was a day of blue sky and fluffy white clouds, and the view of the valley and downs was lovely as ever, but I wasn't pleased with the wide, landscape images in mono. Instead I zoomed into some details against the cloudscape, and was pleased to find the rook perfectly silhouetted on the topmost branch of our tallest garden tree, the shape and colour of its beak clearly distinguishing it from the many local jackdaws.

It's been a busy day: J has joined in three online activities, her regular Monday morning wellbeing session, followed by the first session of a new project from a different organisation, which she really enjoyed. I then had a break for coffee and a brisk circuit of the village before lunch. It was glorious to be out, and to discover a beautiful magnolia already in full bloom. Earlier this evening J had booked a place at a poetry workshop, and we have spent some time over the past few days reading the poems for discussion and pre-programming J's comments on her communication grid. It was quite challenging, but she says she enjoyed it and I was pleased she was confident enough to participate. I'm falling asleep at the keyboard now: all the signing, hand-holding and general support needed for this kind of thing always seems more tiring than it ought to, but it's been a positive day.
