Monday: Shaded Parking
After my week of less meetings it’s now back to normal and that’s absolutely fine. It’s time to get out and about again.
A little while ago I received some demands for payment from Shaw, the telecoms company in Canada. They were sent to our head office in Canada and were forwarded on. To be fair, none of them have anything to do with me as they all relate to late last year when I’d long left Vancouver.
I got in touch with my colleague in Ottawa who deals with these things and it’s all to do with difficulties in transferring the account into my successor’s name (just to clarify, the office always takes care of rental agreements, telephone contracts etc, as opposed to us).
Anyway, my colleague hit on an ingenious way to solve this. Apparently I’ve died. Shaw rang her to discuss the bills but apparently she was too upset to talk.
That would have worked fine had I not received bills today addressed to the ‘Estate of Booky Goatherd’…….
