Paint brush lily

Mum's paint brush lilies are flowering.  They have the most amazing flowers.  Once the flowers have died down the leaves emerge.  I think they are bit like hippeastrums in that regard.

A quiet day with mum although I did take her to the podiatrist.  I am minding Pi as well while my brother is away.   I thought he was a goner today as he took off after some birds and I was mentally imagining the conversation with my brother explaining his loss.  Fortunately, after some time, (and quite a bit of my yelling) he came back.  He went on the lead after that (in the leash free area).  That taught him.
