Male Chaffinch ( Fringilla coelebs )

Oh no not another bird blip.  Sorry yes, when I was taking my usual "just in case" shots I managed to catch this Chaffinch, or to lapse into my native tongue Scopie, perched in the Magnolia. When I got it on the computer I really liked it.

In the afternoon we had to be at the Lodge so that the new dishwasher could be fitted.  As often happens with local tradesmen he was an ex-pupil from many years ago.  It was fitted very efficiently and quickly so then a quick mop of the floor and head for home.  The guests had left us a very nice present because we had done them a favour.  Very kind of them
