The last of the hellebore flowers

It was very dark and late in the afternoon when I crouched low down in the front garden. I'd seen that the hellebores seemed to be nearing the end of their flowering period and I wanted to record the moment.

They have been there for many years and hang on in a shaded area, and have formed a reasonable size of clump, but they don't seem to spread further afield. I'd like to have more variety of them but seeing the price of hellebores in garden centres I think I'll have to try transplanting some from this group.
