Village View

My car got its summer wheels today. I used the time to go for a walk, after dropping it at the garage in my mother’s village. 

Of course I visited my mother and her carer for lunch and coffee, and chatted for a while. Later, I walked back to collect the car and go grocery shopping before driving home.

This is a view of the village with its ancient church in the centre. Some of the houses around that church date back to the 17th century, but most of the buildings are less than 50 years old. Like many villages in the vicinity of the affluent Rhein-Main area, this place has attracted lots of newcomers and tripled in population.
