First cut of the year

Something of a coincidence, really - me remembering to buy the petrol and fine weather to mow the grass! I refuse the use the word 'lawn' as it is just not appropriate after (or even before!) the winter-long mole-attack. Actually, it isn't looking too bad (from this angle, at least) and I'm hoping that the mower may have given a few moles headaches or at least vibrated them out of the garden! It would be nice if the grass stays flat!
Meanwhile, on the other side of the house, I had to walk up and down flattening tunnels before I could begin to mow... so - briefly - that isn't looking too bad either!
