For the love of cherries
My sister and I planted this dwarf cherry tree at the little church on the island IMO our father. I'm happy to say it is still growing. The soil there is very poor. You can only amend soil so much because once the roots reach the regular soil the tree probably will die if you do to much. I use 1/2 compost and 1/2 soil from the ground where the plant will grow. The other draw back is the tree is blasted with salt spray more than not. So I'm happy it is adjusting to the harsh enviroment it is planted in.
