Nicktor's news

Girdlers .....

Walking down from London Wall to the Bank Tube Station this afternoon, I walked down Coleman Street, where this lovely building - with such a wonderful lush green lawn - sits, nestling somewhat incongruously between more modern looking tower blocks.

Actually, this building isn't that new, and only dates to 1961. In fact it's younger than my friend Gazweasel! The original fifteenth century building was destroyed in the Great Fire of 1666, and it's replacement was destroyed by a bomb during the war.

I spent a very long and boring day in a pensions conference. I think I was the only person there without a tie and a beard - and I'm not just talking about the men! I think I might be in the wrong job ;-)
