Koru
Something to view or something to eat. Well we ate it. One of Time Magazine's top 100 things to do in the world - eat at Wellington’s ‘Hiakai’ restaurant on Taranaki Street. Chef Monique Fiso is young but no amateur learning her skills in NY. An 8-course meal with traditional Māori ingredients but not with history in mind. Very modern and every dish is pure art in its orientation. Matching wines but all come at a price and a long wait to get in. An old photo. Hiakai means ‘hungry’.
