Word picture

The sun set, the wind fell, the sea
Was like a mirror shaking:
The one small wave that clapped the land
A mile-long snake of foam was making
Where tide had smoothed and wind had dried
The vacant sand.

Today the sound of robins outside was very welcome. Yesterday was extremely difficult with work issues and my ptsd symptoms went quite high. Some relief was found under the weighted blanket my friend had sent me. Unfortunately,  today looks like it may be a repeat of this same work related stress. I will try to keep calm and carry on as they say across the pond.  It's a good saying.

Bad weather in the form of freezing rain and high winds is predicted for later so I did the driving bit early and sat outside afterward. Lots of geese on the move. 5 bunches flew overhead and I also heard Bluejays,  chickadees and red finch.

Before that I walked up to look at the fire wrecked post office gardens.  The north side is a hopeless pile of bricks but the south side I can work on when it warms up. There are already a few bulbs popping up. The post office still has no reopening date but repairs are in the works.
