Into the Light

Eights Week started today - so we were late out on the river and the sun was low creating beautiful light and shadows. Tom and his rower friends from school had spent the afternoon watching the races and the inevitable collisions like this one.

Behind the boys as they get on the water is a sad reminder os the dangers of the river - a memorial painted by the friends of a boy the same age who drowned there almost a year ago on a hot May afternoon.
