In search of daffodils

The is a large clump of daffodils in the lawn in front of Crathes Castle. I thought they would have all come out by now. The intention was a picture of the castle with the daffodils in the foreground. Disappointment, I will have to wait a few more days and hope for another dry[ish] sunny day.

Instead I have this large topiary hedge.

The day was not quite as sunny as I expected, there were quite a few large clouds around, but at least it was not too cold. I managed an ice cream sitting in the courtyard of the cafe.
