The Frozen Lake

Aimajarvi by name and still frozen hard enough to walk on as we proved today. Here we have just come off a road bridge and this particular gap in the reeds is a point where the skiers cross from the other side of the lake and continue on their merry way. No ski tracks here today but plenty of fresh snow from the past few days. Despite the sunshine and blue sky it was very cold. Probably about -5C when I shot this which was considerably warmer than the -16 during the night.
