‘Expecting … and Waiting’

Following my photo of the swans' nest-building activities precisely a week ago (and the drama they had remembering how to get there), this was the view at 7.30 this morning.

Josephine (at least I think it’s her) is now firmly installed in a beautifully constructed nest  - her and her mate Napoleon’s home for the next few weeks until the eggs hatch and (hopefully!) tiny cygnets emerge.
