Minimalist

On the way to a local supermarket, I pulled into the carpark at the end of the promenade in the hope of getting a blip before the bread and milk.

Wasn't disappointed.  At low tide, someone must have planted this rod, pole or pipe in the sand.  Although the tide was in well past it, the calm conditions had not disturbed it so I made a few captures.

Although I waited for 10 to 15 minutes, no birds deigned to land on it, so I didn't achieve the 'Rod, Pole or Perch' I was hoping for. (Those born post decimalisation probably won't understand that reference.)

Having taken this image, I thought it might be an appropriate entry for the Abstract Thursday theme of minimalism.
