Spring on the Island

It's hard to find colorful spring on these islands full of evergreens, but this red flowering currant was looking very cheery by the Tall House.    And there are even a few daffodils..in the extra.  
Lovely day...got the rest of the burn pile burned and the area cleaned up, no mishaps,.  Found a large partly eaten fish in the pile and at the very bottom , a dead raccoon all intact.  Sorted and cleaned the bird feeders but didn't venture farther than the fire pit and the beach.  Enough work for one day.   Tomorrow I'll go looking .....
