Sunlight patterns

A few of us from work went along to our Special Collections building along the road to look at their journal collections and how they are managed. An interesting visit but my eye was particularly taken by the patterns of sunlight coming through the lovely patterned glass windows. Apparently they are looking for some suitable blinds to install over them to protect items on display in the stairwell from sun damage so I was lucky to have seen this before that happened!

In the evening a friend came over for a catch up. She lives up the road but has now got her house on the market as they are planning a move to Kent. I hope the markets are kind to them and things don’t drag on for ages but it will be strange not having her close by - we met when we both moved here 30+ years ago.
