Butterbur (and beasties)

There’s a tiny patch of butterbur beside the burn at the edge of the wood. I almost fell in when trying to shoot this. Apparently, according to my phone app., it’s also called Pestilence wort, and Bog rhubarb, and got it’s butterbur name because it’s enormous leaves were once used to wrap and store butter in warm weather. Learning all the time!
We also saw three Roe deer, and one red squirrel, which was a real treat.
The rest of the day has been spent doing little or nothing.
