Shops in Sloane Street

Many are suitably bedecked with flowers in homage to the flower show going on at the Royal Hospital nearby.

I discovered a problem in my balcony garden this evening. I keep a box of worms which compost the kitchen vegetable waste etc. They need a delicate balance of moisture, darkness, nutrient and pH. Usually they carry on doing their thing happily and without any odour. But somehow in the last few days something has gone out of kilter, the smell tells it all, the mix has become too acid, soggy and thousands of worms have died making the situation worse. I am not sure if the colony can regenerate or whether is is beyond rescue. An evening of research on the web is in store...
