Sunningdale

This is the village hall at Sunningdale. Aficionados of the longrunning BBC Radio 4 series, The Archers, will know that Lynda Snell moved to Ambridge from Sunningdale. I believe the actress who plays Lynda has opened one or more events at the hall. Friends of ours live opposite the hall and I was sitting with P. this afternoon whilst his wife, a former NHS colleague of mine, attended a retirement function. Sadly P. has PSP which is a disabling neurological condition often misdiagnosed as Parkinson's Disease. His mobility is quite severely impaired as a result and he is prone to falls, so has to have someone with him all the time. We had a nice time, discussing our mutual interest of football,  cricket and music. We also did a couple of 'quick' crosswords. P's speech is quite slow now but it was good to find him still intellectually very sharp.
