A cool, blustery morning so I waited till later this afternoon to go for a walk. I did go out and get some groceries this morning and to meet with one of my clients to discuss plans for this year. Last year was the first full year with him, and we did have a bit of a tiff part way thru the summer. I stopped going there, then about a month later, I guess he decided he would rather have me look after the gardens, so he asked me to come back. He has decided to give me free rein in the gardens now.

The washing machine saga continues. The repairmen showed up today to replace the tub on the washer. Fortunately the second hand washer is still here and in working order. When the movers dropped off the first washer, the one that didn't work, they took the one that was supposed to stay here until it was repaired. It was a lack of communication with the landlord. The next day they brought it back, along with another washer that does work. In the 24 hours it was out of the house, I'm not sure who had it. Whoever had it started taking it apart and they cut the power cord off. I'm not sure why they did that, and it was cut too short, so another cord cannot be spliced onto it. Of course it is not covered under the warranty, it will be up to whoever started taking the washer apart when they were not supposed to, to cover the cost of getting a new cord and having it installed. I haven't talked to the landlord to find out what is going to happen. I suspect that washer will be sitting there in the garage a year from now, still not working.
