Pretty weed
Easter Cassia (Senna pendula) flowers at this time of year, hence its common name. It comes from Brazil and Paraguay. Imported originally as a garden plant, it has escaped and is classed as a weed in eastern Australia. It grows very vigorously, outcompetes many native plants and causes loss of habitat for native birds and animals. But it is a very attractive flower.
