The journey home
We drove back down, this morning, taking the route that goes through, where we stopped for coffee and Lorne sausage baps.
We made a subsequent pit stop in Penrith, so that we could visit the Minx's brother's pie shop, which is filling up with more and more produce. As someone who runs a 'thin air' company - i.e. we don't produce anything tangible - I'm always impressed by anyone who runs a business that has suppliers, manufacturing, and stock.
And having dropped the Minx at the station, I went home, caught up on my email, and then picked up Hannah from Lancaster, as she is staying for the weekend. We had a quick drink at the pub on the station platform and then headed back to Kirkby for a curry.
