The wooden launches are back on the lake for the summer and the mobile ice cream kiosk has returned to its usual spot. The weather is cool and breezy and there are no signs (in Ambleside) of an influx of visitors for the Easter holidays. Perhaps everyone is travelling today.

I was able to give directions to a driver who was looking for the tree top challenge (a few miles along the road). I was surprised to be stopped as I thought I’d look more like a tourist carrying a big camera.
