Plastered

Another day of glorious sunshine, another day cooped up in the house. I was working from home today, as we were getting the new kitchen units delivered from the big yellow shop. We live relatively close to the store (10 minutes drive), so, as usual, I was expecting us to be last on their delivery schedule for the day, however they phoned at 7.15am to say they would be at the house between 8am-9am, and sure enough they were. In saying that, I'm sure they were rushing through their deliveries for the day so they could finish early and enjoy the rest of the day to themselves.
Also had the guy in to fix the Virgin Media set top box, and again he was earlier than expected.

The kitchen is progressing nicely - the brother-in-law volunteered his services for a few days this week, so he came round today to tidy up some of the sockets and plaster the walls. He's also coming back tomorrow to connect the new cable for the oven to the mains, and to make a start on laying the new flooring. We've still got another two weeks to wait on the worktops coming, however it seems like we should be able to start putting units in this weekend.
